Trance

>> Thursday, July 31, 2008

I share with you
prosaic summer evenings
cicadas in sycamores
a nostalgia for
the life never led

you, simply by the virtue of
continuing presence, enthrall me
as would any phantasm of life
enrapture a woman slumped
irrevocably into sleep

this may be purgatory
I take it as a long coveted
entirely unexpected reverie
the dream of a dream come true
and at the end of
this dream awaits
not an awakening, but …
an abysmal dream
or an elongated -
Silence, perhaps.

Air pockets...
hmmm..
from dream to dream..
"the dream of a dream come true"
dream always dream beyond a dream..and true..
it is elongated silence..
polar whiteness..
words die like fire flies...
aria..
wondering when will we all reach that polar area?
wishes...

Your words always take us beyond the obvious & make the situations more intriguing...in a way they portray our real emotions when we feel those moments ourselves...the words have so much depth & force in them...Wonderful lines!

aria,

sometimes i think your vocab is a two-edged sword -- like here, where words start taking the limelight.

i liked the idea ... and i loved the second half much much more...

nitpick (which could well be wrong): should it be "continual" instead of continuing?

regards,
asuph

Kalyan .. thank you for dropping by and your lovely comment.

Asuph.. sometimes I wonder if I like words more or thoughts.. ergo yes it happens.. but I am not sure about continual/continuing .. both 'sound' okay and my grammar is quite pathetic. I'll try taking a third opinion.. if thats continual.. I'll change .. thank you :)

asuph August 4, 2008 at 8:58 AM

i take back the continual. my grammar isn't fabulous either. definitely take a third opinion. in fact while channel flipping, i heard exactly similar use of continuing. so i guess it's quite okay. in fact now i've doubts about continual.

and yes, you're more in love with the words, while thoughts come naturally to you. you're like a magician who treats magic like goat-herding - with the same nonchalant indifference. sigh!

the wait of my wait to get over is over,
i am happy that i finally am happy,
but something is missing as i sense i miss something,
its the silence which no longer is silent.

too good Aria (Hats Off) !! :)
